Padel americano draw generator

Enter the number of players and the courts you have. In a second you have the complete draw: rounds, pairs, match-ups, court assigned and who sits out. From 5 to 24 players, free and with no sign-up.

No data leaves your phone. The draw is calculated in the browser itself: we do not store the names and we do not ask for your email to show you the result.

What the generator actually does

The problem with an americano is combinatorics, not padel: you have to split N players into pairs across R rounds so that nobody repeats a partner, everybody plays the same number of rounds, and the byes, if there are any, are shared out evenly.

With 8 players you can do it by hand. With 16 you cannot, which is why half the industry runs its americanos on an inherited spreadsheet nobody knows how to change and that falls apart the moment someone pulls out on the day. This generator does that calculation in the browser:

  • Shares out partners without repeating for as long as there are combinations left, and tells you when there are none.
  • Assigns a court to each match based on the courts you actually have, not the ones you would need.
  • Works out the rotating byes when the number of players is not a multiple of 4, and shares them out fairly.
  • Tells you the finish time before you send the invitation, so you know whether it fits the slot you have blocked.
  • Exports to plain text ready to paste into the WhatsApp group, or to paper to pin up at the club.

This tool solves the draw. It does not solve the three things that really cost a club time and money.

Who signs up

The draw needs a closed list. If the list lives in a chat, you are still editing it by hand up to five minutes before the start.

Who has paid

The generator does not take payments. Somebody still has to chase the transfers and note who has paid next to each name.

Who comes in when someone drops out

One drop-out on Sunday night invalidates the draw. Without an automatic waiting list, you either rebuild the draw or play with one court fewer.

Questions about the generator

Is it really free?

Yes, and with no sign-up. We do not ask for your email to show you the result and there is no “pro” version of the generator. It is a tool we built because we needed it ourselves.

Does it work for a pozo or only for americanos?

It generates americano draws with rotating pairs. In a pozo the pairs depend on who wins each round, so they cannot be fixed in advance: what you need there is a panel collecting results live, not a printed draw.

Can I use it with 5, 6 or 7 players?

Yes. With fewer than 8 players the generator builds in rotating byes so everyone plays the same number of rounds. You can see every case in the draws by number of players.

Are the names I type stored?

No. The whole calculation happens in your browser and nothing is sent to any server. Reload the page and it is gone.
