Online sign-up for padel clubs

Caps that cannot be overwritten, a waiting list that moves up on its own and payment taken on sign-up. What a WhatsApp list will never be able to do, however many rules you put on it.

The technical problem

A list in a chat is not a list

This is not a discipline problem in your group. It is that a chat does not have the mechanism the job needs.

01

There is no locking

Two people copy the list at the same time, type their name and paste. The second version wipes out the first and nobody finds out until the day of the event.

02

There is no cap

If sixteen fit, the seventeenth signs up anyway. Someone has to count the names by hand every time and tell them no, privately.

03

There is no order

The waiting list is a paragraph at the bottom of a message. When a place opens up, it goes to whoever has their phone in their hand, not to whoever was first.

It is a concurrency problem, and it has a known solution. In Mixines every sign-up, drop-out and partner change is processed on the server one at a time. If two players go for the same place at once, one gets in and the other sees it immediately on their screen. There are no competing versions of the list.
How it works

What the player sees and what the club sees

The player

The “Sign me up on my own” screen: choosing a women's or men's place, name, phone and the club member checkbox.
  • Opens the link on their phone. Nothing to install and no password.
  • Chooses to sign up as a pair or alone. Alone, they can join someone else who is also looking for a partner, or open a new pair.
  • Types their name and a phone number, and pays there and then by card or Bizum.
  • Sees the list live: who is in, who is waiting and how many places are left.
  • If they drop out, they free their place instantly and the first person waiting comes in.

The club

  • Publishes the event once: day, time, places, price and courts.
  • Watches the list fill up live, with the payment status next to each name.
  • Pairing people up, moving them to the waiting list or dropping them: by dragging, from the panel.
  • Marking payments by hand for whoever pays at reception or by Bizum.
  • A message ready to paste into the group, with the final list and the courts.

The waiting list is the feature that returns the most money

It sounds like a detail and it is not. A club running a weekly 16-place mixin averages one or two drop-outs per event. If nobody moves up from the waiting list, that is between 40 and 80 empty places a year that had been sold and then fell through.

At €8 a place, that is between €320 and €640 a year for one weekly event. A club with three mixins a week is missing out on close to €1,500 a year simply because nobody messaged the next person on the list on a Sunday night.

With an automatic waiting list, the place is refilled in seconds, at any hour and without anyone having to watch for it. And the player who comes in is notified there and then, not the following morning.
The bottom of a mixin list: two gaps marked “needs a man” and “needs a woman” with a Sign me up button, and below them the Reserves section with two complete pairs waiting in order.
The bottom of a real list: the gaps looking for a partner and the reserve queue, which moves in in order as soon as a place opens up.

And it cuts last-minute drop-outs

The side effect: when a player knows there are eight people waiting for their place and that they have already paid, they think twice before pulling out. Clubs that take payment on sign-up see last-minute drop-outs halve, without writing a single new rule.

Payments

The money goes straight into your account

We are not a payment gateway and not an intermediary. Payment is taken through the club's own virtual terminal, on your terms and with your bank.

Card and Bizum

Through your Redsys terminal

The one almost every Spanish bank issues. If you already take card payments on your website, you already have it: three details switch it on.

0%

No commission from us

We charge nothing per transaction and nothing per player. You pay only your usual terminal rate, the one you already negotiated with your bank.

Alternatives

If you have no terminal yet

You can mark payments by hand at reception (on any plan) or, on the Club plan, start with your external payment links, and switch the terminal on when you have one.

Redsys is Spanish. Integrated online payment works for clubs banking in Spain. If yours banks elsewhere, everything else works the same and you take payment with external links (Club plan) or at reception until we support your gateway.
Questions

Questions about sign-up

Does the player have to register?

No. They type their name and a contact number and they are in. No account, no password and no verification email. It is the main reason the older members of the club sign up too.

Can I set different prices for members and non-members?

Yes. Each event takes several rates, and the player ticks whether they are a member when they sign up. The organiser sees the marker next to each name.

Can sign-ups be refunded?

Today refunds are issued from your bank's terminal, like any other payment of yours: we never touch the money, so we do not refund it either. In the panel you drop the player and their place is freed.

Can I close the list at a specific time?

Yes. You set when sign-up opens and closes, and whether the waiting list stays open after closing to cover last-minute drop-outs.

What happens if a player signs up and does not pay?

They show up marked as pending next to their name. You can leave it there and charge them at reception, or drop them from the panel so their place goes back to the list and the first reserve moves in.
